Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Thomas’ interests in theater begun in 1980 as she assisted several community theaters acquire state and federal grants.  She is currently serving as the theaters Chief Executive Officer and is actively involved in all aspects of the theaters day-to-day activities.  HoH produces 3-4 plays annually that run 10-12 days each, several one-day events, and workshops.  For the theater’s productions and events, she serves as the Executive Producer and as such has produced hundreds of performances during her tenure.  Her responsibilities include designing marketing and publicity materials, developing and managing budgets; scheduling play dates and times; organizing and supervising the production team.

Dr. Thomas earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from the Union Institute and University, a Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Science and Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Antioch University.  Dr. Thomas’ career includes significant experiences in federal government, academia, and the private sector.  In 1996, she retired from the federal government as Chief of Grants and Contracts for the Bureau of Primary Health Care, Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  During her career, she also served at the National Institutes of Health, Peace Corp, and Smithsonian Institute.

Dr. Thomas is an instructor, facilitator, and executive coach.  She has also designed and led several major organizational change processes, conducted numerous organizational climate assessments, and is considered a grant-writing strategist.  In 1980, she developed a portfolio model for documenting life learning experiences for academic credit, and taught the model to undergraduate students from 1980 – 1999.

Dr. Thomas is also the President of MyCareerTarget, LLC, which is a consulting firm located in Maryland that assists individuals to plan and develop successful careers.  MyCareerTarget is an outgrowth of Success Behavior Institute (SBI), LLC, founded in 1987 by her husband Dr. Percy W. Thomas.  SBIs mission was to assist individuals in finding their purpose and identifying their vision to be successful.
